More bookings rarely come from one big idea. They come from answering faster, quoting clearly, following up and being easy to find. Here are nine habits, in the order an enquiry meets them.
1. Reply within an hour
Couples usually message several vendors at once and book whoever answers clearly first. Keep a set of WhatsApp templates ready so a good reply takes a minute, even on a busy day.
2. Lead with the date
“17 Oct is free” is the most persuasive line in your reply. Check your calendar before anything else, and if you are full, say so and offer another date or a team member.
3. Send a real price
A quote with GST beats “starting from”. Put what is included, the total and the payment schedule in one message or PDF. See how to price wedding services and what a wedding quote should include.
4. Show recent work
Your last five events, not your best five from 2019. Couples want to know what you are doing now, in venues and styles they recognise.
5. Add reels
Short videos of setups, behind-the-scenes and reactions get shared far more than still photos. Tag the venue and other vendors you worked with; they often share it too.
6. Ask for reviews
Ask right after the event, while the couple is happy, with a direct link. Reviews on Google and on the platforms where couples find you are what the next couple reads before they message.
7. Follow up twice
Most lost leads were never followed up. A message on day 3 and day 7 after the quote is polite and normal. Read wedding lead management for a simple schedule.
8. Know your best channel
Note where every enquiry came from: Instagram, WhatsApp, a referral, a venue, a marketplace or a walk-in. After one season you will know which channel books you, and where to spend on ads.
9. Be where couples search
List your services with photos and prices on Wedza, where customers near you can compare and book. Keep your Google Business Profile up to date, and ask venues you work with to recommend you.
Put it together
Wedza Partner lists your services for customers in the Wedza app and gives you Wedza CRM for every enquiry you get elsewhere, so bookings from both land on one calendar. Already listed? Add the Book us on Wedza badge to your website.
Questions
Does listing on Wedza cost anything?
Listing is free, there is 0% commission on bookings, and your first 90 days of membership are free.
What is the fastest way to get more wedding bookings?
Reply faster with a clear price for the date. Most couples message several vendors at once, and the first clear answer often wins.
Should I show prices publicly?
Showing a starting price or package price saves time on both sides. Couples who cannot afford you stop asking, and the ones who can are ready to talk.
